Download & Install – Devices

1. Firstly, you need go to the brother website to download the drivers.
2. Then, click “Set Up” on the next page.
3. Now, you need to type in your printer model number. If you don’t know the model number of your printer, check inside the printer user manual or at the backside of the printer.
4. Once you’ve retrieved the printer model number, enter it inside the “ExampleXXXXX” field and click “GO.”
5. You can also use the alphabets to search for your printer model.
6. Select the printer series and click on your printer variant.
7. Click “Start” for the next page and then select “Connecting to a Computer/Smartphone.”
8. Now, select “Windows” as your operating system from the bottom left corner of the screen.
9. Click on the “Download” button & save the driver installer on your computer.
10. Click “Save” on the next screen and wait for the download to complete.
11. Once downloaded, go to the download folder and search for the driver installer.
12. Then, right-click on the (.exe) file and select “Run as Administrator.”
13. Follow the standard installation procedure and install the printer drivers on your computer.
15. Once installed, restart your computer to finish the process.

Modes to Setup Printer Machine

Wireless Direct

  • Confirm the settings which is Wireless Direct of the Machine. When you connect it with a mobile device, use a PC or Mac to confirm it.
  • Press and just hold the wireless (Wi-Fi) button of your machine for only one second to turn the wireless(Wi-Fi) on.
  • The Wireless(Wi-Fi) light indicator starts flashing in blue light once in every three seconds.
  • Use your PC or Phone to select the SSID of your Machine
  • When the connection established, the Wireless(Wi-Fi) light indicator blinks in blue.
  • First, write down the SSID and password.
  • Connect the machine and pc with a USB cable.
  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi) button for one second.
  • The Wireless indicator starts flashing.
  • Configure the Infrastructure mode settings.
  • Enter the SSID and select the SSID from the list flashing there.
  • Enter the password.
  • Click on Apply.

Infrastructure Mode

WPS

  • Confirm that your wireless access point has WPS symbol.
  • Put your machine within the range of your wireless access point/router.
  • Press the WPS button on your wirelss access point, and press and hold the wireless button on machine for only five seconds.
  • The wireless indicator flashes in blue colour once in every second.
    When the connection is established, the Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi) indicator lights in blue.

How to Connect Your Brother Machine Directly to Your Mobile Device

 

Most recent Brother Brand printer models offer Wifi Direct, which will allow you to set up a wireless network connection between your machine and a mobile device without using a wireless router or access point. This can make it easy to print, scan and copy items directly from your wireless phone, tablet or other device.
Follow these steps

Set up your Brother machine

1. Press the Up or Down arrow key to select the following:
a. Select Network. Press OK.
b. Select Wi-Fi Direct. Press OK.
c. Select Group Owner. Press OK.
d. Select On. Press OK.
e. Select Manual. Press OK.
2. When Wi-Fi Direct On? Appears on the screen, press the Down arrow key to accept.
3. The machine will display the SSID name and Password for a few minutes. Write down the SSID name and Password as you will need it later.

Set up your Android mobile device

1. Tap the Settings icon or swipe down and tap the Cog icon to access the settings menu.

2. Tap Connections and then Wi-Fi.

3. If your Wi-Fi is turned off, turn it on.

4. Find the Network Name (SSID) you wrote down earlier, and then tap it.

5. Enter the Network Key (Password) you wrote down earlier, and then tap CONNECT.

6. The wireless connection setup is complete if Connected appears under the Network Name (SSID) you selected.

7. Download Brother iPrint&Scan for Android devices for free from Google Play™.

Set up your Apple mobile device

1. Tap the Settings icon.

2. Tap Wi-Fi.

3. If your Wi-Fi is turned off, turn it on.

4. Find the Network Name (SSID) you wrote down earlier, and then tap it.

5. Enter the Network Key (Password) you wrote down earlier, and then tap Join.

6. The wireless connection setup is complete if a check mark appears next to the Network Name (SSID) you selected.

7. Download Brother iPrint&Scan for iOS supported devices including iPhone, iPad and iPod touch for free from the App Store.
